Gourav Sharma is an Instructional Designer and Resource Writer with over a decade of industry experience in hospitality, retail and vocational education. His hospitality career runs through head chef, sous chef, chef de partie and kitchen team leader roles in commercial establishments across Melbourne, setting up new restaurants, developing menus and managing kitchen operations, staff training and food safety and hygiene standards.

He has spent more than nine years as a Hospitality Trainer and Assessor at institutions such as Sunshine College and TMG College Australia, delivering and assessing training from Certificate III to Advanced Diploma levels in Commercial Cookery and Hospitality, in classroom and virtual settings.

That work is now directed at resources: program facilitation, instructional design and the validation of training resources, mapping assessment tasks to learning content and developing individual learning plans for learners from diverse backgrounds, including those with English as a second language.
